¡Hola! Me llamo Laura Darling. That means hello, my name is Laura Darling. I am the Spanish teacher for the New Glarus High School. It is a joy to be the teacher of all the levels, as I can see the students grow to be able to comprehend, speak, read and write Spanish through the years.
I have taught in the New Glarus School District since 2006. I have a B.A. and an M.A in Spanish from UW-Madison. Go Badgers!

The Spanish language is fun, interesting and intriguing for me, and my enthuiasm for Spanish becomes part of the class. I am from northern Illinois, and I graduated from High School from Galena Illinois, and was then an exchange student to La Paz, Bolivia for a year. I lived in Bolivia for many years, also for three years in Germany, and in Singapore and Brazil. I have had to learn many languages, so I know how the students feel. My goal is to not only teach the Spanish language, but incorperate many of my expereinces in different countries to promote cultural understanding.
