New Glarus High School Ranked in Top 3% by U.S. News & World Report

NEW GLARUS, Wis. — New Glarus High School has been recognized as one of the top high schools in Wisconsin, earning a #14 ranking in Wisconsin in the 2026–2027 U.S. News & World Report Best High Schools rankings. The ranking places New Glarus High School in the top 3% in the state.

The U.S. News & World Report rankings evaluate high schools based on their performance on state-required assessments, graduation rates, and how well schools prepare students for college. New Glarus High School’s results reflect a strong combination of academic achievement, college readiness, and student success.

“We are incredibly proud of the students, staff, families, and community who have contributed to this recognition,” said New Glarus School District Superintendent Dr. Jennifer Thayer. “Rankings like this are a reflection of the collective commitment to providing our students with challenging learning opportunities, strong instruction, and the support they need to succeed. Most importantly, this recognition represents the hard work and accomplishments of our students.”

The U.S. News & World Report recognition comes as New Glarus High School continues to focus on preparing every student for future success through rigorous academics, college and career opportunities, and a commitment to high expectations for all learners.
