The School District of New Glarus is a top-tier public school district located thirty minutes south of Madison in beautiful Green County.
The district serves just over 1,000 resident and open enrollment students and their families, and is considered a school of choice in Green and Dane County area due to high rankings and numerous state and national awards.
Small schools, big opportunities exemplifies the New Glarus School District. With just under 1,000 students, teachers form strong relationships with their students and are committed to each child reaching his or her potential in a safe learning environment. At the same time, students are afforded curricular and extra-curricular opportunities that are often only seen in large schools. A few examples include Robotics Club, Cyberlearning Club, Science Club, Swimming, Hockey, Soccer, and Golf as well as career pathways in Engineering, BioMedical Fields, and Computer Science.
In addition, the school district is fortunate to have extremely strong community partnerships that result in amazing opportunities for students each year. Some examples include a very strong local scholarship program and annual field trips for students, including a 6th grade three-day trip to Wyalusing State Park, and opportunities to see high-quality performing arts at the Overture Center in Madison.
