Help save lives at the annual FCCLA-Sponsored Red Cross Blood Drive on Tuesday, June 2nd, 9am-2pm in the High School Gymnasium
Please consider scheduling your donation to give back to those who need help in our community. We are rarely given such direct opportunities to help save a life in need and our High School FCCLA Chapter is delighted to offer this life-saving opportunity to our community.
Students ages 16 and older are eligible for blood donation. The donation process takes approximately 1 hour, including registration and rest period. If you are 16-17 years old, please find a parental permission form on the FCCLA bulletin board. If you are 18 years or older, you may donate with a regular appointment.
The blood drive is open for normal blood donations, but we also encourage those eligible to consider Power Red Donations. There are several available appointment times, especially for Power Red donors. Power Red donors give 2 units of red blood cells, while plasma and platelets are returned to the body. This donation type is used to treat trauma patients, infants, and Power Red donations require a 1.5-hour appointment, including registration and rest period. Here are the requirements for Power Red Donors.
-Donors must have one of the following blood types: O+, O-, A-, B-
-Male donors must be at least: 17 years of age, 5’1’’ tall, and 130 lbs
-Female donors must be at least: 19 years of age, 5’5’’ tall, and 150 lbs

Congratulations to the New Glarus Middle School students who had their submissions printed in the Greater Dane Anthology book. We're so proud of you!

Join us on Friday, May 30, from 5:15 to 6:30 PM for an exciting evening celebrating the curiosity and creativity of our 7th-grade students! These young learners have been diving deep into topics they're passionate about through their "Choice Unlimited Projects." From classical music and veterinary science to trending fashions and football rivalries, each project reflects the unique interests and hard work of our students. This showcase is a wonderful opportunity to see firsthand what sparks their curiosity and to celebrate their independent learning journeys. We invite families, friends, and community members to come out and support these students as they share their discoveries. Let's come together to applaud their efforts and inspire a love for lifelong learning!

Thank you to all who have served our country.

Just a reminder. No school on Monday, May 26th. School resumes on Tuesday, May 27th.

The Monroe High School Vocal Jazz choir visited New Glarus today for a collaboration event with the New Glarus High School Choir.
Each group performed a few songs, and then they sang a few songs together. It was a great morning of making music together!

Some of our 2nd grade students helped plant the school garden last week! With the rain we received today, things should start growing soon!

The Class of 2031 enjoyed the last few days at Wyalusing State Park!

☕️ Recess got a whole lot more creative today! ☕️
Some of our imaginative 3rd-grade students turned the playground into Trouville Coffee Company, where they spent their break pretending to whip up and serve all kinds of specialty drinks. Better Brodhead came by yesterday for the high school tier 2 presentation. They shared some information about suicide prevention and mental health awareness with the high school student body. Mr. Worzella offered to do the "Ice Bucket Challenge" in front of the student body, in support of raising mental health awareness. Thanks for taking the challenge Mr. Worzella!

Today, students at New Glarus Elementary School got a special visit from the friendly team at The Bank of New Glarus! They spent time teaching students the basics of saving money and why it’s such an important habit to build early on.
Through fun activities and hands-on lessons, our students learned how banks work, the value of setting savings goals, and how small amounts can grow over time. The kids had a blast—and asked some great questions!
We’re so thankful to The Bank of New Glarus for investing in our students’ future and helping bring financial literacy into our classrooms in such a fun, engaging way. We can’t wait to welcome them back again!
